 Google To Buy SimplyHired? 
By: Nathan Weinberg 2007-05-07 TechCrunch says Google is in talks to buy SimplyHired, a jobs website. While SimplyHired won't confirm... ...that talks are ongoing, just that there is a lot of interest, they did recently raise $13.5 million from NewsCorp, for a total of $17.7 million in funding, and are valued at $40 million. Why would Google want a jobs website? Organizing the world's information, perhaps? Or is their plan on aggregating job listings through Google Base not working, forcing them to buy into verticals?
