Microsoft wants you to write programs for Windows and upload them to the Windows Marketplace's Digital Locker.

Microsoft aims to create the iTunes of software, a simple place given a high-profile place in Windows Vista where all sorts of software is sold, creating a long tail downloadable software store. Take a look at the video at Channel 9.

Oh, yeah, and it's free. Microsoft will market and sell your applications for free, leaving you to the job of just coding the hell out of it.
