 Keyword Prices Drop Slightly 
By: Nathan Weinberg 2006-04-18 Fathom Online's keyword price index dropped ever so slightly from $1.43 to $1.39, losing most of the growth from September's $1.37. Link: Fathom Online's keyword price index drops Four cents may not seem like much, but it means a 3 percent drop in a multi-billion dollar industry, so it does mean something. Of course, the search ad industry is still growing nicely, so inventory probably made up for much of the loss, but it could mean another tough quarter for Google, which has very high expectations.
