Europe Set To Green Light Googles DoubleClick...

...green light from the EU to buy DoubleClick.

According to Reuters

"The approval has long been expected because the European Commission decided in January not to object formally to the transaction. The Commission, the EUs top competition watchdog, has never rejected a deal without sending formal objections."

It seems the hold-up might have been due to privacy advocates huffing and puffing in the general direction of the EU. Unfortunately for them, the EUs house is made of bricks not interested in issues of privacy"only monopoly.
