ITunes Plus To Drop DRM Free Price...
By: Bruce Houghton 2007-10-16 ... and Add Indies. As early as this week iTunes Plus is expected to drop the price of all DRM free tracks to 99 cents from the current $1.29. Also on tap is the long over due addition of more indie label product to the DRM free category. Hypebot and indie labels have been calling on Job's to keep his promise by adding as much DRM free product as possible. But it appears the successful launch of Amazon's all mp3 store may be the real motivator. UPDATE: See details from Scottish indie Moojuice in comments.
